The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings and a heritage site. The Danish architect, Jørn Utzon, built the Sydney Opera House and it was opened on 20th October, 1973. The Opera House has become Sydney's most famous building and in 2007, UNESCO appointed it to world heritage status.
