Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain is an important fountain close by Piazza di Trevi in the center of Rome. The fountain was designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and constructed by Nicola Salvi. Tourists often throw coins in the fountain, as legend says that if you throw two coins in, you'll soon be married! 
Standing 86 feet high, it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. The fountain is constructed of "Travertine", and in the center a giant statue of Oceanus (god of all water) can be seen.
